Emma has been practicing yoga since her initial introduction to children’s yoga classes at the age of 7. This early mindful awareness helped foster a love for the practice. After her graduation from college, she found a deeper relationship with the practice of vinyasa yoga, exploring the mental and spiritual benefits and developing skills for a lifetime of well-being. Emma wanted to share yoga with the world and embarked on a journey to become a teacher, completing her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through the Illumina Yoga program in 2022. She has continued to grow her yoga education, completing a Level 1 Reiki certification in 2024 and in 2025 a Trauma-Informed training session.
Since completing her YTT training, Emma has been teaching vinyasa yoga with a particular focus on accessibility of the practice for all bodies. Emphasizing a balance between the physical and the mental components of a yoga class, Emma enjoys creating a full-body experience that links breath and movement in a way that can serve all ranges of yoga experience. She deeply believes that our practice on the mat is a direct reflection of the way we move throughout the world, and finds the lessons yoga teaches us to be much farther reaching than the physical. This belief is woven throughout Emma’s classes, which bring a culture of curiosity, deep intention, new exploration, and back-to-basics alignment focus.
