Lisa Flynn

Lisa (E-RYT 500, RCYT, YACEP) has been sharing yoga and wellness practices with children and adults for nearly 20 years. She is the founder and former owner of ChildLight Yoga and Yoga 4 Classrooms, author of Yoga for Children, Yoga for Children–Yoga Cards, and Yoga 4 Classrooms Activity Cards, and a contributor to the first peer-reviewed, published research study to use both subjective and objective data to examine the acute and longitudinal effects of a school-based yoga intervention in young children. Through her trainings, products, and books, she has empowered thousands of children, families, educators, and school communities to cultivate self- and social-awareness, compassion, stress resilience, and overall well-being.

Following a deeply transformative breast cancer journey, Lisa has returned to her yoga teaching and service roots with renewed purpose. In addition to sharing yoga at Shilo Farm and at resorts around the world, she is completing certification as an Integrative Cancer Coach to help others navigate the physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of cancer survivorship—an often overlooked yet vital aspect of true healing and recurrence prevention.

Lisa brings a warm, grounded presence to her classes, weaving breath and slower, accessible movement with a focus on strength, flexibility, and mindful awareness. With plenty of modifications offered, her all-levels classes are ideal for anyone who wonders if they’re “flexible enough for yoga,” those recovering from illness or injury, or anyone seeking a nourishing reset. She can’t wait to welcome you to one of her favorite places in the world—the Shilo Farm barn.
